Forestry Commission Scotland (FCS) and the Construction Scotland Innovation Centre (CSIC) are now offering between 10 and 40 days of free factory time at CSIC through a new scheme.

Through the, “Advanced Timber Products Innovation Challenge”, scheme companies who have an ambition to design and develop innovative wood-based products and systems for the construction sector can access equipment at CSIC. This scheme will allow Scottish companies the opportunity to prototype their ideas and give them access to a range of equipment including:

• off-site manufacturing cell
• digital router
• CLT vacuum press and glue adaptor
• pilot insulation line
• industrial robot

This is clearly fantastic news for Scottish timber construction companies. WKW would also like to enable access for Welsh companies. Please contact us if you are interested to explore further.
