With the climate emergency declarations driving decarbonisation and an appetite to build zero carbon homes, we’ve discovered that housing organisations are looking to plant new forests and woodlands. Why would a Housing Association, not known as a traditional tree planting organisation, want to claim this space?

We invite you to discover the reasons why by joining us at A Route to Zero: A Case for Forest and Woodland Creation on the afternoon of the 16th of December in Cardiff. At this event we will present a summary of our research focusing on opportunities for the housing sector to offset for zero carbon building. We will run a workshop to debate our findings importantly focusing on ways of maximising the social impact of tree planting. This event will also provide an excellent opportunity for those involved in housing development, sustainability, place-making, and community engagement to network with other delegates from across the sector to explore the potential to develop sustainability partnerships.

This is a free event – but places are limited, so please register as soon as possible to ensure you get a place. Register via the Eventbrite page here.

Registration starts from 1.00pm with refreshments and the event starts at 2pm (5pm close). If you aren’t able to make it please forward this email to a colleague within your organisation who may be interested in joining us.
