Defeating fuel poverty | Creating healthier homes | Delivering for Future Generations
This series of three half day knowledge events, run in partnership with the Natural Fibre Insulation Group, will explore the performance of wood fibre insulation, practical aspects of use, costs and sustainability benefits. Our aim is to support building clients and designers to better understand how to specify and use wood fibre insulation.
Wood fibre insulation has shifted from the eco-fringes into mainstream construction. Available as rigid boards, flexible batts and loose, wood fibre insulation has been proven to perform in new build and retrofit markets to insulate walls and roofs.
Wood fibre insulation is made from the sawmill residue of spruce trees which makes manufacturing a strategic opportunity for Wales.
