Featuring talks from both Chris Jones and Gary Newman, this year’s Institute of Chartered Foresters’ North Wales Group conference will focus on productivity and timber utilisation, with speakers from across the timber supply chain and forest management, to mainstream and specialist end users of timber. This is a great opportunity to meet (or catch-up with) like-minded professionals in the region, while building your continuous professional development.
Chris Jones will present Growing Trees for Tomorrow’s Needs: Adapting Forests and Management for the Future at 11:05
Gary Newman will present Creating a Thriving Forest Based Economy at 13:55
Discussing the current timber market in Wales, the conference will explore how this will change with the development and evolution of timber products and predicted growth in demand. It will also consider the management required to produce home grown timber in a changing climate and the benefits to society of productive forests.
A buffet lunch will be provided for all delegates.
The Wales Regional Group committee will also be holding an informal gathering on the evening of 8 November at 19:30 at the Clio Lounge – all are welcome!
