Wooden windows are a sound investment for social landlords says Tony Pell, Chair of the Wood Window Alliance. In the Dec 2017 edition of the Public Sector Building Journal (PSBJ) Tony Pell, makes some compelling arguments for why this is the case. Advantages such as reduced whole life cost, longer life, lower maintenance and better environmental credentials are balanced against the cost and environmental impact of plastic windows.
