In 2009, the Scottish Parliament passed unanimously the most ambitious climate change legislation anywhere in the world. Seven years on, they are now developing their Third Report on Policies and Proposals, the Climate Change Plan (CCP), which will take them to 2032.

The report contains details of the plans for increasing woodland creation from 10,000 ha/year up to 15,000 ha/year by 2025 and increasing the use of Scottish timber in construction from 2.2 million m3/year to 3.0 million m3/year by 2032.
