Woodknowledge Wales is pleased to announce a new reciprocal membership agreement with the AECB (Association for Environment Conscious Building). This partnership builds on our recent agreement with AECB strengthening collaboration across the forestry and timber value chain.
Under this agreement, Woodknowledge Wales and the AECB have each become members of one another’s organisations, recognising our shared commitment to promoting sustainable building best practice. Members of both organisations will benefit from shared learning, joint communications, and greater visibility across networks.
As a result, all current and future members of Woodknowledge Wales and the AECB will benefit from reciprocal collaboration, events, education and opportunities. This includes better visibility across our networks, joint learning opportunities, and streamlined knowledge-sharing into our collective resources. Together, we aim to foster a more connected, informed, and effective sustainable community—for practitioners and users alike.
While contra-membership provides enhanced opportunities to connect, learn, and collaborate across organisations, it does not grant full direct membership benefits. Certain elements—such as voting rights, exclusive training discounts, or access to restricted member-only resources—remain available only to direct members of each organisation.
“This agreement allows us to come together with the AECB and drive change for a better future through collaboration,” said Gary Newman, CEO of Woodknowledge Wales. “The AECB are an important voice in the sustainability sector. We’re connecting our networks to support our members to reach more resources and explore greater openings across the sector.”
The AECB (Association for Environment Conscious Building) promotes green, low energy, sustainable building and comprises a network of individuals and companies with a common aim of promoting sustainable building.
We invite all members to explore the work of the AECB to discover new opportunities for learning and collaboration.
