Simon Griffiths

Simon is a Director at Ethos-Chain, focusing on supply chain development, resilience and improvement. Simon will seek, engage and connect hard-to-reach local supply chains, and improve economics, and skills whilst reducing risk and exposure.
He is a focused commercial specialist with 32 years of experience in high-value, high-risk public and private sector commercial services covering Asset Management, Transport, Healthcare, Construction, Housing, Technology, Renewables, and Manufacturing.
Simon has an M.Sc. in logistics and supply chain management and a master’s degree in change management. Simon is a long-standing member and expert supply chain lecturer for the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS).
He is an expert consultant using AI technology, data, and analytics to map supply and demand, bringing the two together to create resilient supply chains for major infrastructure and health projects within the UK and beyond – he has recently helped a client develop a global traceability material chain of custody utilising blockchain technology that has improved provenance, carbon, and efficiency in the largest infrastructure project in Europe.
Simon is currently advising on globally sensitive issues across the steel industry. He is identifying opportunities for economic revitalisation, on-shoring, and job loss minimisation. His strategic thinking and use of data enable him to develop innovative solutions, navigate local complexities, and advise on opportunities that align with the needs of the communities.
Simon is a global supply chain practitioner who understands global issues that impact locally, both home and away, and is currently leading some overseas supply chain activity in Saudi Arabia.
