Supply chain resilience in forestry and sawmilling focuses on maintaining a reliable flow of wood, timber, and fibre products against a background of environmental and market disruptions. As forestry relies on long-term growth cycles, its supply chain is highly vulnerable to climate-driven shocks like wildfires, pest infestations, and extreme weather, alongside sudden shifts in global trade and available labour.
Woodknowledge Wales is conducting research into the resilience of supply chains and this page gives resources and information about our outputs. Click on the link below to find out more.
