Join us for a new series of webinars and a roundtable exploring how circular wood use in manufacturing, construction and finance can future-proof timber, cut carbon and build sector resilience.

The growing need to adopt circular economy principles in construction is widely accepted, yet few examples of circular and cascading wood use in manufacturing and building exist in the UK. With global demand for timber set to rise by 170% by 2050, and domestic softwood supply forecast to decline, the sector faces both risks and opportunities.
Woodknowledge Wales, the Alliance for Sustainable Building Products (ASBP) and Built by Nature have joined forces to deliver a new event cycle exploring how circular practices can transform the timber sector – from manufacturing and construction through to finance and policy.
Across three webinars and one roundtable dialogue, participants will:

- Gain insights from pioneering practice in the UK and across Europe.
- Explore opportunities to integrate reclaimed timber and fibre into manufacturing and construction.
- Identify barriers, policy needs and actionable steps for scaling circular timber use.
- Engage with insurers and investors on the financial frameworks needed to unlock confidence and investment.
This event cycle is part-funded by Welsh Government through the Home-Grown Homes Project and aligned with the Principles for Responsible Timber Construction.

Who should attend?
- Webinar #1: UK-based manufacturers of timber systems, windows, doors and other wood-based elements, as well as construction product manufacturers interested in wood-based innovation.
- Webinar #2: Developers, contractors, architects and engineers interested in decarbonising the built environment through circular uses of timber.
- Roundtable: Policy makers, insurers and investors shaping the future of sustainable building.
- Webinar #3: Stakeholders across the UK wood value chain – with particular emphasis on manufacturers, specifiers, designers, policy makers, investors and insurers.
Across three webinars and one roundtable dialogue, participants will gain insights from existing practice examples, share perspectives and experiences, and specify requirements for enabling circular wood use in the industry. Webinars 1 & 2 will produce problem and opportunities statements; harvest policy needs and gather actions the industry is able and willing to take. These will inform the roundtable dialogue with investors and insurers, which will in turn focus on levers for enabling circular practices in the industry. Webinar 3 will then offer an open conversation on results from the roundtable for stakeholders from across the wood value chain.
Join us to help shape the future of circular wood use in the UK.
