Pren mewn gwaith ôl-osod, atgyweirio, cynnal a chadw a gwella

May 22, 2026 by admin

Archwilio cyfleoedd i ddefnyddio cynhyrchion pren lleol a phren wedi’i adfer – gan gynnwys gwaith coed, deunydd inswleiddio a phren wedi’i lifio – wrth ôl-osod, atgyweirio, cynnal a chadw a gwella tai cymdeithasol yng Nghymru.

Crynodeb

Mae ôl-osod, atgyweirio, cynnal a chadw a gwella yn cynrychioli marchnad enfawr sy’n tyfu, gyda buddsoddiad sylweddol wedi’i gynllunio yng Nghymru i uwchraddio’r stoc tai cymdeithasol sy’n heneiddio er mwyn cyrraedd targedau Safon Ansawdd Tai Cymru a nodau sero net.

Er bod cynnyrch pren fel deunydd inswleiddio ffeibr pren, ffenestri, drysau a phren wedi’i lifio eisoes yn chwarae rhan yn y gwaith hwn, nid oes llawer o bren lleol a phren wedi’i adfer yn cael ei ddefnyddio o hyd. Mae’r rhan fwyaf o gynhyrchion inswleiddio a gwaith coed yn cael eu mewnforio neu’n cael eu gwneud o ddeunyddiau nad ydynt yn bren fel uPVC, ac mae contractwyr a chyflenwyr adeiladwyr yn dylanwadu’n fawr ar benderfyniadau caffael.

Mae’r adroddiad yn edrych ar gyfleoedd i ddefnyddio pren mewn deunydd inswleiddio, ffenestri, drysau a gwaith coed arall, y rhwystrau rhag ei fabwysiadu’n ehangach, y potensial i weithgynhyrchwyr yng Nghymru ddefnyddio pren lleol a phren wedi’i adfer mewn cynnyrch ar gyfer y farchnad ôl-osod, atgyweirio, cynnal a chadw a gwella, a sut mae ffrydiau cyllido ac arferion caffael presennol yn effeithio ar ddewis deunyddiau. Mae’r prif ganfyddiadau’n dangos potensial cryf ar gyfer atebion pren carbon isel, anadladwy (yn enwedig deunydd inswleiddio ffeibr pren), ond ar hyn o bryd mae rhwystrau systemig yn atal mwy rhag manteisio arnynt.

Daw’r adroddiad i’r casgliad y bydd datgloi’r farchnad hon yn gofyn am gymorth polisi cydlynol, gwneud yn siŵr bod caffael yn cyd-fynd yn well â chyflenwad lleol, gwell mynediad at ardystiad ar gyfer deunyddiau seiliedig ar ddeunydd biolegol, a newid diwylliannol tuag at bennu cynhyrchion pren iachach, carbon is.
