This trusted annual guide—now in its 25th year—has become a cornerstone publication for the UK timber supply chain, known for its in-depth technical content, practical insights, and sector-wide reach. Under our new collaboration with Open Box, the Yearbook will expand its impact while continuing to serve as a vital bridge between landowners, manufacturers, specifiers, policymakers, and end users.

Why this matters for our members

As part of this partnership, Woodknowledge Wales members will receive priority access to editorial and advertising opportunities, including:

  • Publishing technical articles under your expert byline
  • Featuring in sponsored case studies, interviews or company profiles
  • Showcasing new products, projects or innovations
  • Reaching an expanded digital and print audience across the UK and beyond

This is your chance to position your organisation at the heart of the timber conversation and share your work with the wider industry.

Join the editorial conversation

We’ve also invited Open Box to gather member insights on key timber industry trends and challenges. Your responses will directly influence the editorial themes of this year’s edition—and help shape Woodknowledge Wales’ own activities in the year ahead.

Ready to contribute?

Editorial contributions should be technical or semi-technical in nature, verifiable, and of broad industry relevance. Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):

  • Timber frame and offsite construction
  • Whole-life carbon and circularity
  • Retrofitting and heritage
  • Forestry, wellbeing, and land use
  • Engineered timber, joinery, preservation
  • Digital tools, innovation, and skills

We welcome alternative suggestions—get in touch with us to discuss your idea.
