Dr Diana Waldron

Diana is the Head of Built Environment at Woodknowledge Wales, she is focused on championing the use of timber, reclaimed building materials and other bio-based materials in constructions. She is also an accredited Passivhaus Designer and trained on the use of thermography and other techniques to assess building performance. Diana is an architectural engineer by training and early career. After her BEng degree at Cardiff University, she worked as a Research Assistant as part of the Low Carbon Research Institute team, whilst simultaneously undertaking a Masters degree on Environmental Design of Buildings, at the Welsh School of Architecture. After completing her MSc, Diana worked with the Sustainable Building Envelope Demonstration project before embarking on her PhD. Her Doctoral work was an active part of the “Plants & Architecture” workpackage for the National Research Network for Low Carbon, Energy and Environment.
